Since 1947, over three generations of the Jimador family have worked with Don Julio. Their devotion to Don Julio&#39;s process and methods is unmatched. Their mastery in planting, farming, and harvesting agave has been passed on for generations. It can be traced back to Don Julio himself. Their work is truly celebrated through the process of private cask selection. Aged for ten months in American white oak barrels, two more than the typical reposado release, the Don Julio Private Cask Reposado Tequila is golden amber in color. It offers a rich, distinctive smooth finish&mdash;the essence of the perfect barrel-aged tequila.

If you are looking for a distinctive reposado, this Don Julio private cask is something to behold. Matured for 10 months and bottled at 85.4-proof, this Don Julio is bold and beautiful. On the nose are notes of orange citrus, thyme, grass, and smoked oak, leading to a pour with hints of sweet orange, dark chocolate, steamed agave, and cardamom. The finish has charred oak and caramel sweetness ending with white pepper. This is a pour that can easily be enjoyed neat or with a cube&mdash;or if you're feeling creative, you can accentuate its flavors by exploring its use in variations of an Old Fashioned.
